Postgraduate Medical Education in Europe

Post Graduate courses are aimed for higher degree of learning and education. Students already having scholar in some bachelor degree in medicine through any certified institution can go ahead with Post Graduate courses.The students can go for Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma, Masters Degree or Professional Doctorates to continue their higher education. The students who aimed to make themselves professional in their medical specialties and want to do some research work in their interested field of medicine are welcomed to join our post graduate program.

Even if all medical colleges in Europe  offering under graduation and post-graduation courses are accredited by the Europe  Medical Council and there for, all medical degrees offered in Europe  are recognized by the AMC (Europe  Medical Council). Medical study (medicine and dentistry) in Europe has excellent reputation and most rigorous training programs in the world.  Europe Medical qualification is recognized in most countries in the world. Medical study (medicine and dentistry) in Europe is based on problem-based learning, integrating medical science and clinical disciplines to ensure an optimum learning experience. In the majority of programs clinical experience is included from first year. International students are advised to check with their respective medical councils if degrees obtained from their choice of Europe universities will be valued in their respective countries. To study undergraduate medicine or health science courses, most Europe universities require a combination of your UMAT (Undergraduate Medical Admissions Test) score, a medical interview and finally ATAR (Europe Tertiary Admission Rank – primary criterion for entry into most undergraduate-entry university programs) score to gain entry. Some will also require specific pre-requisite subjects, such as chemistry, to be studied in the final year of high-school. Thus, students need to be aware of selecting subjects that will satisfy these requirements.

All graduate-entry applicants must have completed, or be in the final year of a bachelor or honors degree.  Some schools use postgraduate qualifications in GPA (Grade Point Average) calculations. With twenty medical schools in Europe, there are many paths that prospective student can choose to follow to become a Doctor, each of which offers a slightly different course and approach to studying medicine. So, along with your preferred entry type, the choice of university and program is personal and it is important to take time to read all the information available about each of the options.
