Even if all medical colleges in Europe offering under graduation and post-graduation courses are accredited by the Europe Medical Council and there for, all medical degrees offered in Europe are recognized by the AMC (Europe Medical Council). In the majority of programs clinical experience is included from first year. International students are advised to check with their respective medical councils if degrees obtained from their choice of Europe universities will be valued in their respective countries. To study undergraduate medicine or health science courses, most Europe universities require a combination of your UMAT (Undergraduate Medical Admissions Test) score, a medical interview and finally ATAR (Europe Tertiary Admission Rank – primary criterion for entry into most undergraduate-entry university programs) score to gain entry. Some will also require specific pre-requisite subjects, such as chemistry, to be studied in the final year of high-school. All graduate-entry applicants must have completed, or be in the final year of a bachelor or honors degree. Some schools use postgraduate qualifications in GPA (Grade Point Average) calculations.
